HR Setup and Custom Property Tabs under Employee


A. HR Setup Tab



Below are the HR Setup Tab fields with descriptions:


  1. Supervisor – If the employee is a supervisor (checkmark) 
  2. Eligible for paid time off - If the employee is entitled to be paid during time offs (checkmark)
  3. Exempt Employee
  4. Eligible for paid holidays - If the employee is entitled to be paid during holidays (checkmark)
  5. Part time - If the employee is working part-time (checkmark)
  6. Non Exempt Office
  7. Max Hours of the day - Max number of hours of service for a single day (Enter the max hours per day) 
  8. Max hours per week - Maximum number of hours of service for a single week (Enter the max hours per week)
  9. Payroll Setup ID - Payroll ID as per the employer (Enter Payroll setup Id)
  10. Highest Degree - The highest degree of employee (Select from the drop-down)
  11. Employee External ID - Record of ID outside the company (Enter the external Id)
  12. NPI - A National Provider Identifier. (NPI) is a unique 10- digit identification number issued to health care providers in the United States by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). (Enter the employees 10-digit NPI number)
  13. SSN - Social Security Numbers (SSNs) are required for employees enrolling in group health coverage through their company. (Enter your SSN number only)
  14. Hiring date - Start date of employment (Enter the date in the format MM/DD/YYYY)
  15. Taxonomy Code - Taxonomy codes are administrative codes set for identifying the provider type and area of specialization for health care providers. (Enter the taxonomy code given)
  16. Driver Licence Number - Driving license unique number (Enter the driving license number)
  17. License Expiry Date - The expiration date for the employee’s driver’s license. (Enter the expiry date of license)
  18. CAQH Id Zip - CAQH stands for “Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare”. It is essentially an online database that stores provider information. Providers grant access to their data to insurance companies (Enter CAQH Id zip)
  19. Signature Image - The user may upload the signature of the employee (click on Upload Image)
  20. Signature valid from - Signature validity date from (Enter date from*)
  21. Signature valid to - Signature validity date to (Enter date to*)
  22. HR Supervisor - HR supervisor of the employee (Select from the drop-down) 
  23. Supervisor - A supervisor is a person reporting to (Enter the supervisor name)
  24. Employee Type - The employee could be working as a part-time, full-time, or independent contractor (Select from the drop-down)
  25. Pay Type - Employee's pay type could be hourly, hourly with no break time, salaried, or salaried with break time (Select from the drop-down)
  26. Notes - Mention what is relevant but not covered in the above fields (Type the necessary information)


Note: Only the "Highest Degree" field is mandatory under the HR Setup Tab.


B. Custom Property Tab


Custom Properties is the last step for adding a new employee. It is used to create additional desired fields for the employee to add more information.



To add a Custom Property, the user needs to go to the Custom Property Tab under the Employee page. Click on Custom Property Tab to learn about it.
