Overview
The purpose of this guide is to provide MeasurePM users with an overview of the software’s program data collection features. This guide will walk users through how to access the data recording screens on the Mobile-App and how to record program data.
Please note, data collection can only occur within an active appointment. Therefore, when you log onto the Mobile-App, you must resume or start an appointment to access the data recording screens. To do so, select Resume or Start Now from the appointment preview window on the Employee Dashboard.
Accessing Programs
Once in an active appointment the Client Dashboard will open. From here, users can navigate to programs by selecting the book icon from the bottom navigation bar. From the program menu users can access the program recording screens, access My Lineups, access the Program Library, and Manage the Order in which programs are displayed. However, for the purpose of this guide, only data recording features will be reviewed.
Recording Data
There are two ways to access the recording screen for a program, either by selecting Record All or View All, both of which are described below.
Record All
Select Record All from the program menu to access the data collection screens for all programs/goals. Once selected, users will be brought to the data recording screen for their first program and will be able to toggle between program recording screens as they wish.
On the data recording screen users have the following options:
- Record data- Users will be able to add and remove data using the blue squares beside the target.
- Toggle between programs- Users can use the numbered arrows near the top to flip through a client’s program book/ toggle between programs.
- View full list of programs- Users can select the View All tab at the top to return to a full list of client programs.
- View program information- Users can select the Phase Objective tab to easily view the program objective. User can also select the Program Info tab to view all program details (e.g., measurement type, goals, antecedents, etc.).
- Access behavior recording screens- Users can select the Record Behavior tab to quickly access the record all behaviors page.
- Access Quick Access programs- Users are able to view and access two quick access programs (if configured). These two programs bookend the top tabs above the data recording screen. In the examples below, the quick access programs are set to Mands and Appropriate Transitions. Selecting these will take the user directly to those program recording screens without having to flip through the programs.
- Commit data- When finished collecting data, select Commit to submit the data, or select the Discard button to remove the data.
- Return to program menu- Users can select the back arrow at the top to return to the previous program menu at any time.
The way in which program data is recorded will depend on the program measurement type. Available program measurement types include Discrete Trial Instruction (DTI), Task Analysis, Frequency, and Duration. Each of which are described below.
Recording Discrete Trial Instruction Programs
If the program is configured as a DTI, users will see a circle with the number of completed/total trials for each target/goal. As the user completes trials, the circle will progressively turn green. The prompt for the program, if outlined, will be next to the program name. The response type, if indicated, will be above the data collection squares. If the program trials are divided by multiple targets, the number of allocated trials will be displayed within the circle below the target name and the total trials for the program will be outlined under Commit.
To record a response, tap on the appropriate response option once for each response. Alternatively, to record multiple trials at one time, hold the appropriate data recording type for 3 seconds, then enter numeric text or use the up/down toggle arrows to edit the trial count. Please note, response options are configured by individual facilities and may be customized for individual programs and/or clients. To remove a trial, select the undo button in the top right hand corner of the recording window. Trials will be removed in reverse order in which they were recorded. As you collect data, users may need to scroll to reveal more data input boxes or to reveal more targets. The user can also expand the data recording window by using the opposite direction arrow icon to the right of the first target. Once the user has completed collecting data for a given program, and met the minimum trial requirement, the Commit button will turn green. Select Commit to submit the data or Discard to clear all data.
Recording Task Analysis Programs
If the program is configured as a task analysis users will see each step of the task analysis listed in order with the outlined prompt level for each step. In addition, the chaining procedure strategy will be listed at the top. If there are additional steps of the chain which are not in progress, there will be an option at the top to View Steps Not in Progress. If this is selected, the inactive steps will appear on the data recording screen, but not allow any data to be collected for those steps.
Recording data is similar to recording data for DTI programs. To record a response, select the appropriate response option once for each response. Please note, default response options are configured by individual facilities and may be customized for individual programs and/or clients. To remove a trial, select the undo button in the top right hand corner of the recording window. Trials will be removed in reverse order in which they were recorded. As users collect data, they may need to scroll to reveal more data input boxes. Alternatively, the user can expand the data recording window by using the opposite direction arrow icon to the right of the first step. When finished with data collection and a response is recorded for each In Progress step, the Commit button will turn green. Select Commit to submit the data or Discard to clear all data.
Recording Frequency Programs
If the program is configured as Frequency, the recording screen will look quite similar to that of DTI. The prompt level, if outlined, will be present at the top of the page. In the recording window, the user will see the target name and response type, if indicated will be present in the recording window along with the data recording type(s). As there is no min. or max. trials with frequency, the user can select Commit at any time. This means users can commit data at 0 and there is no limit as to how many trials can be recorded prior to having to Commit.
To record a response, tap on the appropriate data recording type once for each response. To add multiple trials at one time, hold the appropriate data recording type for 3 seconds, then enter numeric text or use the up/down toggle arrows to edit the trial count. Please note, response options are configured by individual facilities and may be customized for individual programs and/or clients. To remove a trial, select the undo button in the top right hand corner of the recording screen. As you collect data, you may need to scroll to reveal more data input boxes or to reveal more targets. Alternatively, you can expand the data recording window by using the opposite direction arrow icon in the top right hand corner. Once the user has completed collecting data, select Commit to submit the data or Discard to clear all data.
Recording Duration Programs
If the programs measurement type is configured as duration, users will see a timer beside each target. Below the time, there are 3 buttons:
- Play Button: Select the play symbol to start the timer. When selected, the play symbol will be replaced with a stop symbol. This indicates the onset of the program. Select the stop symbol at the cessation of the program. Each time the timer is started and stopped, an occurrence of the program will be tracked. As the program continues to be run, the cumulative number of occurrences and duration can be seen below the timer.
- Refresh Button: Select the refresh icon to restart the timer. This is helpful if the timer was started accidentally or started at the incorrect time.
- Pencil Button: Select the pencil icon to edit a time. If the duration was tracked on a separate timer, users can select the the pencil icon to easily set and commit the time without letting the timer run. When selected, users can add time by selecting the + Sec/Min/Hrs or remove time by selecting the – Sec/Min/Hrs as appropriate. When satisfied with the selected time, select OK. To return the timer to 0 select Refresh and to return to the data recording screen select Cancel.
To remove an added time, select the undo button in the top right hand corner of the recording window. Duration/occurrences will be removed in reverse order in which they were recorded. As users collect data, they may need to scroll to reveal more data input boxes. Alternatively, the user can expand the data recording window by using the opposite direction arrow icon to the right of the first step. When finished with data collection select the Commit to submit the data or Discard to clear all data.
For all above data recording types, if a user selects Commit a confirmation pop up will appear. The type of notification will be dependent on if any trends were detected.
- If no trends were detected the notification will appear as it does below. Users may choose between View Graph, to view/manipulate the graph for that program, Continue, to return to the data collection screen for the same program, or Programs to return to the program list.
- If a data trend has been detected after committing, the user will be notified that the data were committed and of the trend detected. There will also be the additional option of viewing Program Info to view information about the program.
View All
The second way to access the data recording feature is by selecting View All from the program menu. This will open a list of all current programs and organize them by status. Use the blue toggle arrows to maneuver between statuses. Users are able to view programs in alphabetical order or in custom order by selecting the corresponding radio button at the top of the screen. From here, users can select Record Data beside the program name to be automatically taken to the recording screen for that program or select a program name to open the individual program menu. From the individual program menu, users can preview the Phase Objective, Record Data, access Program Information, Graph data, access Program Data, and view Media associated with the program. When users select Record Data, they will be brought to the individual recording screen for that program. From there, users can record data in the same manner as described above.
