MeasurePM offers an optional feature for sites to require employees to attest to receiving or not receiving an appropriate meal-break in accordance with their required regulations, under certain conditions.
Sites can configure that non-exempt employees are prompted to respond to an attestation regarding receiving a lunch break when they render their own last appointment of a given day, on the website or Mobile-App.
Activating the Feature
To activate this feature for your site, navigate Site Settings>Site Details & Rules >Site Configurations and select "Enabled", for the following flag, and select the SAVE button.
Choosing the Attestation Verbiage
Sites choose their own verbiage for the attestation message that should show up for providers to respond to. This is established in Site Settings> Site Details & Rules, in an area between Payroll Attestation and Location, labeled "Rendering Meal Break Configuration Message".
Note: The text is presented in the photos in this guide are not suggested or endorsed by MeasurePM.
Conditions for Attestation
Non-exempt employees will be prompted to respond to the attestation when rendering their last appointment or the day, or only appointment of the day, via My Appointments on the web or Mobile-App.
- Non-exempt employees: Employees that do NOT have the "Exempt Employee" checkbox selected in their HR tab of their Employee Details
- Last Appointment or Only Appointment: When the employee renders their last appointment of any given day, defined as the remaining confirmed appointment moving to rendered status. It is not based on appointment scheduled time or render time.
- My Appointments web or My Appointments Mobile-App: When the employee is rending via My Appointments on the web or Mobile-App, and not while rendering via List View or Calendar view, even if the other conditions are met
- Note rendering in bulk via My Appointments on the web is disabled when the Meal break site flag is enabled
If a provider needs to change their response, they can return the appointment to confirmed status and then render the appointment again. They will be presented with the prompt again, and their previous answer will be replaced with the most recent answer.
Responding to The Prompt on the Web and Mobile-App
When the conditions for attestation are met (see above), the user will be provided with a pop-up to respond to the verbiage the site configures, with a drop-down menu to select Yes, No, or N/A.
