This article was written to provide MeasurePM users with a brief overview of the recent notification feature implemented on the Mobile-App.
Overview
Notifications, which were previously only available on the Web, are now available on the Mobile-App, therefore they be received and reviewed across both. Like the Web, there will be a bell icon (i.e., notifications) to left of the user's name when logging into the App. The bell icon will only be displayed on the main Employee Dashboard, so any time the user navigates away from this screen, the bell icon will not be visible. Notifications are shared between the Web and App, meaning that the user will be able to review them on either platform. When new notifications are reviewed on the Web, they will appear as "read" on the Mobile-App and vice versa.
Receiving Notifications
Users will receive notifications, on the Web and App for any of the following:
- Leave requests
- Leave approved/denied
- Task received
- Task approved
- Task denied
- My payroll request for approval
- Availability approved/denied
- Expiring client files
- New mail in Inbox
- Expiring employee credentials, qualifications and clearances (i.e., day of, 5 days before and 1 month before)
- Accepting unconfirmed appointments
When a user receives new notification, a number corresponding to the amount of new items will be displayed in a small red circle on the bell icon. This number will correspond with the number displayed on the web only if the notifications have yet to be read from either platform.
Selecting the bell icon will render a pop-up displaying a one month history of notifications in reverse chronological order (i.e., newest listed first). All new notifications have a blue border, which indicates that these are unread. Note, once this pop-up is closed these new/unread notifications will be considered read. Upon opening the notification window again, these items will now have a black border (i.e., read) and any other older items which have already been reviewed will the same colored border.
If there are any notifications with text too long to be contained within the bounds of the border, an information icon, "i" will be displayed. To view the entire notification message, select the "i", and to close this additional pop-up select OK.
From the app, users also have the ability to view a three month history of notifications. To do so, select the Past 3 Months from the dropdown located at the top of the pop-up window.
The only notification that requires the user to complete an action is the notification automatically generated upon the creation of an unconfirmed appointment for the logged in provider. Note, the associated NSAU site configuration found within Site Settings must first be turned on to trigger these notifications.
Within the unconfirmed appointment alert is an "Accept" button. This button will remain on the notification until it is selected. Upon selecting Accept, the user will receive an alert notifying them that the appointment was successfully accepted, and this appointment will now show as confirmed on the App.
