This article will guide you on where and how to use our new mileage feature in appointments.

About the Mileage Feature

The mileage feature in the appointment will calculate drive time when adding an appointment. Before this feature can be used, you would need to enable it in the site configuration.



How to turn the mileage feature on or off in Appointment


Step 1: Click 'Site Settings' on the menu. (As shown in the image below)




Step 2: Click 'Site Details & Rules' on the submenu. (As shown in the image below)




Step 3: Click 'Site Configuration' on the submenu. (As shown in the image below)



Step 4: Search for CLDA code with the description " If Enabled, Calculate Drive time during appointment creation (Drive time Calc chargeable)". (As shown in the image below)


To enable this feature, click on the checkmark box for code CLDA until a checkmark appears. Then click save to save the changes.



Mileage Feature in Appointment

Once enabled, you can calculate drive time while adding an appointment. 



Step 1: Click 'Appointment' on the menu. (As shown in the image below)




Step 2: Click 'add appointment' on the right side of the screen. (As shown in the image below)




Step 3:  Add/edit Appointment, fill out the required fields. (As shown in the image below)

  • Client
  • Authorization
  • Service Type
  • Provider
  • Schedule Start date
  • Schedule End Time
  • Recurrence Rule



Step 4: Click 'Save'. (As shown in the image below)




Step 4: Afterwards, create another appointment and save it. Then double-click on the appointment that was just created and click 'calculate' (As shown in the image below)


You will then be able to see the mileage and drive time. 

You will also see the daily and weekly hours populated at the top.
