Overview

MeasurePM now offers the ability to configure randomized targets for programs at the client level, which can be done from both the Web and Mobile-App. This feature allows providers to collect data on randomly presented mastered targets from the Mobile-App. When a target is in "Mastered" Status it is no longer active, therefore not available for data collection. However, with randomize, mastered targets captured in the randomize feature are eligible for data collection.

As a reminder, changes/edits can only be made to the Target section, which now include randomization, for programs within the Client Clinical Profile when the following permission is granted.

Configuring Randomized Targets

As previously stated, configuring randomized targets is possible on both the Web and Mobile-App platforms. However, it is essential to note that adding a randomized target may not always be an option. If the + Random button appears greyed out, it indicates that one of the specific rules pertaining to the Measurement type is not met.

  1. DTI, Dur, Freq, and Rate Rules:

  1. + Randomize will only be selectable when there is at least 1 mastered target in the list of program targets.

  1. Time Sampling Rules:

  1. + Randomize will only be selectable when there is at least 1 mastered target in the list of program targets.

  1. + Randomize will only be selectable when there are no other targets in an active status (i.e., baseline, in progress, maintenance, generalization, or post-probe). This is because data can only be collected for a single time sampling target.

  1. If mastered targets have been removed (i.e., changed to other status or the mastered targets have been deleted) after randomize has been configured, you will be prevented from saving the targets section.

The above information can be accessed at any time via the "?" icon in the program information screen from both the Web and Mobile-App.

Configuring on Web-App

Once in the Client Clinical Profile, select the pencil icon to edit the program of interest. From here, scroll down and select the pencil icon for Trials.

To add randomized targets, click on the + Randomize button at the bottom of the target list. This will reveal test boxes allowing you to set the quantity of mastered targets you wish to randomize and the number of trials per target (applicable for DTI programs only). The maximum number of targets available for randomization depends on the number of mastered targets in the list. For instance, if a client program has only four mastered targets, you can choose up to four targets for randomization. Keep in mind that for DTI programs, the total number of trials across all active targets, including any randomized ones, must match the total configured trials. After configuring the number of targets and trials, click on the save icon (represented as a floppy disc) at the top of the Trials section to save the changes permanently.

All configuration steps are outlined in the images below.

You have the flexibility of editing or deleting randomized targets at any time. This can be done by either modifying the number of targets and trials or removing the randomized target using the trash icon.

Configuring on Mobile-App

Once in the Client Clinical Profile, navigate to View All from the main Program menu and select the program of interest. From here, select Program Info.

To proceed with editing the program, begin by selecting the lock icon, then scroll down to the targets section. Within the pop-up window, select the + Random button, then indicate the number of mastered targets to include and the number of trials assigned to each randomized target (applicable for DTI programs only). Again, the number of mastered targets available depends on the total number in the target list. Remember, for DTI programs, the total number of trials across all active targets, including any randomized ones, must match the configured total trials. After configuring the number of targets and trials, click on the Save button in the pop-up, followed by the Save button in the main pop-up to permanently apply the changes.

All configuration steps are outlined in the images below.

Once configured, a summary statement of the randomized target will be displayed as such:

Data Collection with Randomize (Mobile-App only)

If randomized has been configured for a program, mastered targets will be randomly selected for data collection and displayed on the data collection screen. Please note, the "Mastered" status tag will be displayed on the screen indicating that this was selected at random as part of the randomization configuration.

Once program data is committed or discarded from the data collection screen, a new target from the bank of mastered targets will appear on the screen when the program is ran again.

All committed data for randomized targets will be displayed across the Web and Mobile-App (e.g., in the graphing modules, reports, SOAP Notes, etc.). Please see below for an example:
