Overview

This guide was developed to provide MeasurePM users with an overview of how to configure behaviors from the Mobile-App when within or outside of an appointment. While behaviors can only be created on the Web, they can be mapped to client profiles, then configured at the client level from both the Web and Mobile-App. Any modification made to mapped behaviors will sync to the server upon saving, meaning that the updated behavior configurations will be viewable from the Web and Mobile-App.

Relevant Clinical Permissions

Mapping behaviors and configuring mapped behaviors at the client level from the Mobile-App is also permission based. Below are the permissions required to configure Behaviors from the Mobile-App.

Note that everyone, including those without permissions, are still able to view behavior information from the Web and App. For more information related to all Clinical Permissions, please refer to this attached guide.

Mapping Behaviors to the Client Clinical Profile

Mapping behaviors to clinical profiles from the Mobile-App can be done outside and within an appointment. To be eligible to do so from outside of an appointment, access to the profiles outside of an appointment must be granted.

To be eligible to map behaviors from outside of and within an appointment the following permission must be turned on.

When outside of an appointment, select “My Clinical Profiles” upon logging into the Mobile-App.

This will bring you to a list of clients. You can can either scroll to locate the specific Clinical Profile you would like to access or type in the client’s name in the search bar at the top of the screen.

When you select the client’s profile, the Client Dashboard will appear on the screen. From here, select the tally icon from the blue ribbon at the bottom of the screen, followed by the “Behavior Library” button.

From within the Behavior Library, you can manually scroll through the list, use Category dropdown menu or the search filter to locate the behavior of interest.

Behaviors shown in green are already mapped to the client’s profile and have an “In Progress” status, while behaviors that are any color other than blue are also mapped. Note, the behavior statuses available in the Behavior Library are dependent upon the statuses selected from the site's Clinical Settings (i.e., if all statuses are made active via Clinical Settings, all 6 statuses will be available when changing statuses via the Mobile-App's Behavior Library).

Any behaviors displayed in blue are available for mapping. If you select an unmapped behavior, the behavior will then be displayed in green and shown as “In Progress”. Continue tapping on the behavior of interest until the desired status is reached or hold down the behavior of interest for 3 seconds to reveal a pop-up where you can proceed with making a status selection. To unmap a behavior, continue tapping on the behavior until it returns to blue or select "Unmapped" from the status pop-up. Note, a behavior can only be unmapped when there has been no data collected for it. If data has been collected you will receive a pop up indicating that you are ineligible to unmap it, and the status will automatically return to In Progress.

When in an active appointment, you will follow a similar series of steps. First, navigate to the Behaviors screen from the Client Dashboard by selecting the “Behaviors” icon in the blue navigation ribbon, followed by selecting the “Behavior Library” tab. Once in the Behavior Library, you can locate the behavior(s)s requiring mapping. Once the behavior(s) have been found, simply click on the behavior(s), which will turn the color from blue to green, indicating it has been successfully mapped.

Configuring Mapped Behaviors

Once a behavior has been successfully mapped to a client’s profile, you can now make client specific configurations. This can be done from within an appointment or outside an appointment.

To do so while in an active appointment, complete the steps outlined below.

If still in the Behavior Library, return to the Behaviors screen by selecting the back arrow at the top left of the Behavior Library screen.

If in the Client Dashboard, select the Behaviors icon located in the blue navigation ribbon.

From here select “View All”, which will display all mapped behavior organized by status. To view a different status, use the arrows on the left and right of “In Progress”. Note, the statuses listed here are again dependent upon those made active via Clinical Settings.

Once the mapped behavior has been selected, select the “Configure” button to open the behavior information screen.

Selecting the gear icon from the behavior data collection screen is an alternative access point to open the behavior configuration screen. Note that the behavior data collection screen is only available when in an active appointment.

The configurations available here are identical to those displayed on the Web-App when configuring behaviors from the Client Clinical Profile. Note that any property you do not have permission to edit will have a small lock icon beside it.

Definition

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) the behavior definition, select anywhere in the text box. This will open an editable text window. Once changes have been made, select the “Save” button, which will ensure that all configurations saved. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “Cancel” button is selected), the configurations will be discarded, and the changes will not be recoverable.

Goal

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) the behavior goal, select anywhere in the text box. This will open an editable text window. Once changes have been made, select the “Save” button, which will ensure that all configurations saved. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “Cancel” button is selected), the configurations will be discarded, and the changes will not be recoverable.

Replacement Behaviors

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) replacement behaviors, select anywhere in the text box. This will open an editable text window. Once changes have been made, select the “Save” button, which will ensure that all configurations saved. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “Cancel” button is selected), the configurations will be discarded, and the changes will not be recoverable.

Antecedent Strategies

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) antecedent strategies, select anywhere in the text box. This will open an editable text window. Once changes have been made, select the “Save” button, which will ensure that all configurations saved. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “Cancel” button is selected), the configurations will be discarded, and the changes will not be recoverable.

Consequence Strategies

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) consequence strategies, select anywhere in the text box. This will open an editable text window. Once changes have been made, select the “Save” button, which will ensure that all configurations saved. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “Cancel” button is selected), the configurations will be discarded, and the changes will not be recoverable.

Measurement Type

To make configurations to the Measurement Type use the blue left and right arrow on either side of the preconfigured selection. The available options are identical to those listed when creating new behaviors in the Behavior Library. The options found below the Measurement Type are dependent upon the type selected.

When Frequency or Duration are selected, you can configure intensity levels and whether you want the behavior to interact with the DRO board.

To make changes to the “Reset DRO” checkbox, either select or unselect the checkbox. Selection indicates detection by the DRO board upon an occurrence of the behavior.

To make changes to intensity levels, the “Use Intensity” checkbox must be selected. From here you can indicate the number of levels in the field below. To inactive Intensity Levels, simply unselect the checkbox.

When Whole Interval, Partial Interval or Momentary Time Sampling are selected, you will have the option to make changes to the interval duration using the minute and seconds fields under “Interval Time”. To do so, use the -/+ minute and second buttons on either time of the interval value. You can also configure a sound that is played when the interval has elapsed. The default setting is “<None>”, however you can scroll through the options using the left and right arrow, as well as preview the selected sound.

Note, when Whole Interval, Partial Interval or Momentary Time Sampling are selected, intensity cannot be configured and the interaction with the DRO board is automatically disabled.

Function(s) of Behavior

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) functions, select anywhere in the text box. This will open a pop-up with all functions of behavior. If functions have been configured and activated under Clinical Settings, they will be displayed here. Functions can also be added at the client level; to do so first select the "+" icon, which will then render a textbox for you to add the function name. Note, functions of behavior configured at the site level cannot be edited or deleted, however, functions manually added to a mapped behavior can be. To make a function selection from the pop-up, select the related checkbox followed by the “Save” button to save all configurations. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “Cancel” button is selected), the configurations will be discarded and the changes will not be recoverable. Any functions selected from the pop-up will be listed in the textbox when viewing the behavior.

Data Collection Color

Unlike the Web-App, you are able to make color selections from the behavior configuration screen. The selection will determine the background color of the behavior when recording data during an appointment. Note that this is the only configurable property that is not permission based, meaning that anyone in your facility can make color selections.
