MeasurePM has multiple program Measurement Types available for selection when configuring instructional programs. Each Measurement Type is associated with unique set of program configuration options and its own data collection interface. Please refer to the guide below for additional details on configuring Rate programs, and how to record and review data.

Rate Program Configuration

Program Library

Like any other program Measurement Type, Rate programs must first be set up in the Program/Goal Library. Note that creating new programs and editing existing programs within the library is permission based, therefore only authorized users will have to ability to do so.

To create a new Rate program, select the "+Add Program" button located above the Program Library Table.

From here, select "Rate" as the Measurement Type. Once Rate is selected, the subsequent configurations will be unique to Rate (e.g., number of trials and minimum number of trials to commit will be hidden as this is no longer applicable to Rate). To configure an existing program as rate, select the edit icon (i.e., pencil) for that program of interest and then change the Measurement Type to Rate.

Once Rate has been selected, proceed with establishing the Unit of Time. The available options include: (i) Minute, and (ii) Hour. Unless manually specified, Minute will always be the default. Selecting the unit will dictate how data is calculated and presented across the following:

  • Program Data (Mobile-App)
  • Program Graphs (Web and Mobile-App)
  • SOAP Notes (Web and Mobile-App)
  • Appointment History (Mobile-App)
  • Clinical Reports (Web-App)

The success criteria will then automatically adjust based on the configured Unit of Time.

Within success criteria are fields to configure the minimum number of pass responses, maximum number of fail responses, and number of sessions. Only values between 0 and 999 are supported for the number of pass and fail responses within the criteria. Like all other measurement type success criteria, the number of sessions value must also be between 1 and 20 here.

After all program configurations have been made, select the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.

Client Clinical Profile

The configurations for newly mapped (a.k.a "added") Rate programs or existing programs modified as Rate will be identical to those available from the Program Library. If needed, the success criteria can be modified (e.g., enabled/disabled, modifying already configured criteria) at the client level. Like all other Measurement Types, only In Progress and Maintenance Targets will be available for data collection on the Mobile-App.

Mobile-App

Users can also configure programs at the client level on the Mobile-App. To do so, navigate to Programs within a clinical profile. Note, programs can also be mapped to a Client Clinical Profile from the App via the Program Library tab.

Using the Mobile-App to edit program settings is also permission based, meaning only authorized individuals will have the ability to do so. Once the permission has been turned on/granted, select the edit icon (i.e., lock) in the top right-hand corner of the program that requires modification.

To change the Instructional Strategy/Measurement Type to Rate, tap on the associated drop-down menu and select Rate. From here, the configurable options available are identical to those on the web and can then be modified in the same manner.

Recording and Committing Rate Data

Data Collection Screen

To record Rate data, first select the play icon located on the left side of the screen. Once selected, the user can now proceed with selecting the displayed data recording types (note: data cannot be recorded while the timer is OFF). The timer located directly to the right will continue to run until the stop icon is selected. At this point the Commit button will turn green, indicating that users are now able to commit the data. Note, Rate program data can only be committed if the timer was run (whether or not data was recorded).

If the running time needs to be edited, select the pencil icon which will then display a duration pop-up. The hour, minute, and second values can be manually modified. To save changes select OK and to discard changes select Cancel. To revert the edited duration, select the Reset button.

If data is committed directly from the Data Collection Screen and the success criteria has been met, the logged in user will receive a pop-up message with the detected success criteria statement. Please note, trend tracking for Rate programs is a future feature.

Note, collecting and committing Rate data is also supported in Offline Mode. Please refer to the following guide for additional information on running offline appointments: Mobile-App Offline Mode

Committing Rate Data at Rendering

Like other program Measurement Types, Rate data can also be committed at rendering by using the available program data options.

  1. Commit Programs in Progress: If this checkbox is selected at rendering, any rate programs with BOTH time recorded and data collected will be captured and the data will be successfully committed.
  2. Commit Programs with 0 Duration, Frequency and Rate: Rate programs with ONLY time taken will be listed here. If the Rate program is selected, 0 pass and 0 fail responses per unit of time will be committed.

Reviewing Committed Rate Data (Mobile-App)

SOAP Notes and Appointment History

Program Rate data is displayed in both the Mobile-App SOAP Notes and via the Appointment History tab. Rate data is shown in a per minute or per hour format depending on that program's configurations: (i) X pass X fail per minute, or (ii) X pass X fail per hour. All Rate programs with committed data will be listed under the "Rate" header found in both the SOAP Notes and Appointment History. Note, Program Data will only be displayed if it is an active SOAP Note Property.

Program Data

Raw program data can be viewed via the Program Data tab and will appear as shown in the image below.

While the same data is reflected on the Web, the raw data can only be edited via the Mobile-App. Note, this capability is permission based. To edit historical rate data, select the lock icon then proceed with making changes. To edit the running/commit time, scroll down to the "Total Sample of Time". From here select the pencil icon and proceed with making changes. The DRTs can also be edited if needed by making additional selections or holding down any of the available options to manually modify the count. Once changes are made, a "Commit Changes" button will appear. Selecting this will ensure that all edits are permanently saved.

To add a new set of data, select the "Add New Program Data" button, select an appointment and proceed with recording and committed the data from there.

Graph Data

Rate data can be viewed via the Graph Data tab. The default graph drawn is dependent upon the program's configuration. For example, if a program has been configured as per minute, the available rate Y-axis type will be Rate per Minute. Frequency and Percent are also available graph types for Rate programs. To generate either of these graphs, select the gear icon, then make the appropriate selection from the Graph Type dropdown.

Reviewing Committed Rate Data (Web-App)

Graph Data

Rate based program can be accessed on the web graphing module like any other measurement type. The default Y- axis type selection will be Rate Per Minute or Rate per Hour to match the program configuration, however the other options are available as well. Data recording types will default to All passing and All Failing, but can be changed.

SOAP Notes

Rate data is displayed across SOAP Notes accessed via the Web-App, as shown below. Like Mobile-App SOAP Notes, data is presented in either of the following format to match the configured Unit of Time: (i) X pass X fail per minute, or (ii) X pass X fail per hour.  All committed Rate programs will be listed within the SOAP Note's Rate table. Note, Program Data will only be displayed if it is an active SOAP Note Property.

SOAP Note Details Report

Rate data can also be found in SOAP Note Reports, as shown below. Rate program data can be found in its respective Rate column.

Program Summary Report

Rate data can under Reports --> Data Reports --> Clinical --> Program Summary. When viewing Rate programs, pass and fail responses per minute and hour will be displayed in its associated column. Note, the "Duration in Min" column reflects the running time for that rate program (e.g., if the timer was running for 5 minutes, 5 minutes will be displayed in this column).

Appointment Summary Report

Rate data can under Reports --> Data Reports --> Clinical --> Appointment Summary. Rate program trials are added to the total trial count for the appointment and will be reflected in the "Num Program Trials" column. The number of Rate programs with committed data from the Mobile-App will also be accounted for in the "Number of Programs Committed" column.
