Overview

This guide was developed to provide MeasurePM users with an overview of how to configure behaviors at the Client Clinical Profile level from the Web-App. While behaviors can only be created on the Web they can be mapped to client profiles then configured at the client level from both the Web and Mobile-App. Any modification made to mapped behaviors will sync to the server upon saving, meaning that the updated behavior configurations will be viewable from the Web and Mobile-App.

Relevant Clinical Permissions

Configuring behaviors is permission based meaning only authorized individuals from your facility will have this ability.

Below is the only permission required to configure behaviors from the Web-App.

For all other Clinical Permissions, please refer to this attached guide.

Accessing the Client Clinical Profile

There are three different ways to access a Client Clinical Profile: (1) through the Client Clinical Profile tab under Clinical Settings, (2) through Clients, and (3) through Appointments. Note that only those with the required permissions granted will be allowed to access Client Clinical Profiles. The related permissions are as follows:

1. Client Clinical Profile:

2. List Clients from the Clients tab:

3. Calendar View from the Appointment tab:

The first option is to select “Client Clinical Profiles” under Clinical Setting found in the blue navigation bar on the left side of the screen.

Selecting the name will open the Client Dashboard. From here scroll down to the “Client Clinical Profile” widget and select the pencil icon for the profile you would like to configure. Note, a client might have multiple profiles so you must ensure that you are selecting the correct one. Once the pencil is selected you will be taken to the Client Clinical Profile.

A third but less direct method of accessing the Client Clinical Profile is by finding one of the client’s scheduled appointments via Appointments in Calendar View. To do so navigate to Calendar View under Appointments. To find the client's appointment use any of the available filters or views, as highlighted in the image below.

Mapping Behaviors to the Client Clinical Profile

Once in the client profile, you are free to start mapping and configuring behaviors. To map (a.k.a. “add”) a new behavior to the profile select the “+ Behavior Library” button. Once selected a popup window will appear.

To find the behavior of interest you can use any of the available filters. Note that behaviors displayed in blue are those that have already been mapped and those in grey are available for mapping.

To map select the “+” icon for the specific behavior you intend on mapping. To save the selection select the “Save” button located at the bottom of the window. Without doing so the behavior will not be successfully mapped to the client’s profile and these steps will need to be repeated.

When a behavior is mapped it will be given an “In Progress” status as shown in the “Status” bar on the right side of the behavior selected.

After selections are made and saved, all mapped behaviors will appear under their corresponding status (e.g., newly mapped behaviors given an In Progress status will be displayed in the "In Progress" window in the Client Clinical Profile).

Should you choose to move a behavior into a different status (e.g., Discontinued) either drag and drop the behavior from the the current status to the new status window or change the status when in the “+ Behavior Library” popup window. To do so hover over the grey “Status” bar which will open a dropdown menu. From here simply select the desired status followed by “Save” to make changes permanent.  Note, the behavior statuses displayed in the dropdown are those that have been made active under Clinical Site Settings.

Configuring Mapped Behaviors

From the Client Clinical Profile select the pencil icon for the behavior requiring configurations.

Once selected you will be taken to a new behavior configuration screen where you can configure the following sections: Definition, Goal, Replacement Behaviors, Antecedent Strategies, Consequence Strategies, Measurement Type and Function(s) of Behavior. Note that all sections contained here are identical to those included in the creation of new behaviors from the site library level, with the exception of Replacement Behaviors, Antecedent Strategies, Consequence Strategies, and Function(s) of Behavior.

Definition

To start configuring (e.g., add, edit or delete) the behavior definition select the pencil icon. Once the pencil is selected you can now proceed with making changes.

Once changes are made select the the floppy disk icon to save. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “x” is selected), or the behavior configuration screen is closed, the configurations will be discarded and the changes will not be recoverable.

Goal

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) the behavior goal start by selecting the pencil icon.  Once changes are made select the the floppy disk icon to save. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “x” is selected), or the behavior configuration screen is closed, the configurations will be discarded and the changes will not be recoverable.

Replacement Behaviors

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) the replacement behaviors start by selecting the pencil icon.  Once changes are made select the the floppy disk icon to save. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “x” is selected), or the behavior configuration screen is closed, the configurations will be discarded and the changes will not be recoverable.

Antecedent Strategies

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) the antecedent strategies start by selecting the pencil icon.  Once changes are made select the the floppy disk icon to save. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “x” is selected), or the behavior configuration screen is closed, the configurations will be discarded and the changes will not be recoverable.

Consequence Strategies

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) the consequence strategies start by selecting the pencil icon.  Once changes are made select the the floppy disk icon to save. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “x” is selected), or the behavior configuration screen is closed, the configurations will be discarded and the changes will not be recoverable.

Measurement Type

To configure the Measurement Type select the pencil icon. Once selected you can use the drop down menu to choose a Measurement Type. The options available are identical to those listed when adding new behaviors to the Behavior Library. These include: Frequency, Duration, Whole Interval, Partial Interval, and Momentary Time Sampling.

Once changes are made, select the the floppy disk icon to save. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “x” is selected), or the behavior configuration screen is closed, the configurations will be discarded and the changes will not be recoverable.

When Frequency or Duration are selected you can configure intensity levels and whether you want the behavior to interact with the DRO board. To make changes to intensity levels the “Use Intensity” checkbox must be selected, which then allows you to indicate the number of levels. To inactive Intensity Levels simply unselect the checkbox.

Changes to the “Reset DRO” checkbox can be made by selecting or unselecting the checkbox. Again, this is only applicable to Frequency and Duration based programs.

When Whole Interval, Partial Interval or Momentary Time Sampling are selected, you will have the option to make changes to the interval duration using the minute and second fields under “Interval Duration”. Note that when Whole Interval, Partial Interval or Momentary Time Sampling are selected intensity cannot be configured and the interaction with the DRO board is automatically disabled.

Changes made to Measurement Type, Interval Durations, DRO selections are saved by selecting the save icon beside “Measurement Type”.

Function(s) of Behavior

To configure (e.g., add, edit or delete) functions select the pencil icon. If functions have been configured and activated under Clinical Settings they will be displayed here. Functions added via Clinical Settings cannot be edited or deleted. To make function selections simply select the associated checkboxes.

Functions can also be added at the client level; to do so first select the "+" icon, which will then render a textbox for you to add the function name. Unlike functions added via Clinical Settings, manually added to a mapped behavior can be edited or deleted. Once changes are made, select the the floppy disk icon to save. If the section is not saved (i.e., the “x” is selected), or the behavior configuration screen is closed, the configurations will be discarded and the changes will not be recoverable.

Reminders

  • Only users with the applicable permission can map and configure behaviors at the client level.
  • To make configurations to a behavior at the client level, the behavior must first be mapped to the Client Clinical Profile. Users can map and configure behaviors from both the Web and Mobile-App. The attached guide contains detailed instructions on how to configure behaviors from the Mobile-App.
  • Permissions required to configure on the Web-App are different from those required to configure on the Web-App.
  • Users must save any changes made by selecting the save icon from the Web-App otherwise changes will be discarded.
